Slipknot’s Corey Taylor says the band’s sixth album will “absolutely” release in 2019. This, coming after M. Shawn “Clown” Crahan hinted at the band’s next album being their last. Taylor spilled the details of the new album to Musik Universe.
“[In] 2019, sometime in that year we will definitely be recording it. We'll finish writing it, record it and be ready to go on the road," Taylor reveals. If Crahan does decide to leave the band after this next record, it could be the end all be all for the entire band.
"We’ve always said that when we get to the point where we physically can't do Slipknot the way we want to do it, we'll stop. And for some of us, the years of being in Slipknot have taken [their] toll,” says Taylor. As far as Crahan leaving, Taylor says, “Honestly, if that was his decision, I wouldn't do Slipknot without him.”
