Whether you love him or loathe him, one thing is for certain: President Trump has a fan base. And to that end, it’s not exactly a surprise that a group of supporters has started a Go Fund Me page is trying to raise money to help Mr. Trump keep his signature campaign promise: building a southern border wall.
The effort is being led by Purple Heart Recipient Brian Kolfage, an Air Force veteran lost three limbs in Operation Iraqi Freedom. And his campaign is gaining steam. Since it’s debut on Monday, the page has raised more than two-million of its $1-billion goal.
While Trump is trying to secure five billion dollars from Congress, to continue building the wall, estimates say it will cost more than $20-billion to complete. For the record, the reason the fundraising goal isn’t the full five-billion, the Go Fund Me site limits fundraisers to a maximum of one-billion dollars.
