There’s something to be said about doing your homework when it comes releasing a product. But then, there’s also something to be said about not being douchey if you don’t have to. Enter the fine folks The Modist Brewing Company in Minnesota. They’ve been selling a double IPA called “Dilly Dilly,” and yes, the folks at Anheuser-Busch took issue with that…as the center of their ad campaign is that God-forsaken phrase. But rather than send a team of attorneys to strong arm Modist, they sent out a cease and desist in the form of a proclamation delivered by a town crier. A lawyer for the brewery says they’re appreciative to the beer giant for handling an uncomfortable situation in a funny way. But also, Anheuser-Busch offered the brewery two “thrones” at the Super Bowl. Nicely done. Source: Star Tribune
